KMOS is an infrared spectrometer mounted on the 8m UT1 telescope at the Very Large Telescope (VLT).

It has deployable feeds that can provide simultaneous spectra for each pixel across the images of up to 24 faint galaxies selected within the VLT field of view.

RAL Space Involvement
