Ariel-3

Overview

Ariel 2, a British satellite, was the first satellite to be used for radio astronomy. It was launched on a Scout X-3 rocket in America by NASA. It's main objectives were to measure vertical distribution of ozone in the upper atmosphere, measure galactic radio noise, and detect micrometeoroids encountered by the satellite.​
