Rhys Evans has recently completed the STFC apprenticeship scheme and is now working as a software engineer at the Centre for Environmental Data Analysis (CEDA), which is based within RAL Space. CEDA provides support for environmental data scientists, and is supported by funding from both STFC and the National Environment Research Council.
James Dalton is in his fourth year of the STFC apprenticeship scheme, and is currently working with the Precision Development Facility (PDF) at RAL Space. The PDF provides expertise in very high accuracy machining, and undertakes work for industry and a range of government institutions. James talks about his experience there so far, as well as his plans for the future, in the video below.
Max Rippington and Conor Sandford have both completed their four year electrical engineering apprenticeships with STFC, and are now working as Environmental Test Technicians at RAL Space. They gave a talk on their experience at the inaugural RAL Space Early Careers conference in December last year, which you can watch here:
