Terahertz quantum cascade laser spectroscopy

Terahertz quantum cascade lasers are highly interesting for molecular sensing applications, as intense pure rotational transitions can be targeted. In this work, the laser tuning parameters and beam propagation property were investigated with spectroscopy application in mind. A large aperture multipass Herriott cell has also been developed to cope with the increased diffraction effects of terahertz radiation.
