Previously, Brian was responsible for millimetre systems in the
Millimetre-Wave Technology Group. With his expertise in a wide range of engineering disciplines, Brian led or supported the development of a wide range of instrumentation for ground-based astronomy, radar, communications, and atmospheric remote sensing from both aircraft and satellite platforms. He led aircraft instrument deployments on scientific field campaigns in many locations worldwide, from Kiruna in the Arctic Circle to Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territories.
Brian is a Chartered Engineer, member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology, and holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast.
