Bringing together space experts from academia and industry, the UK China Space Conference is the premier event for promoting capabilities, skills and technologies partnerships in the UK and Chinese space sectors.

Jointly run by STFC RAL Space and Beihang University, the conference promotes access to UK and Chinese space markets and highlights the opportunities to collaborate in space related activities.

Since it established in 2005, the UK-China Joint Laboratory, led by STFC RAL Space, has brought together over 2000 space scientists, technologists and industrialists from more than 90 organisations. The 2018 conference will be the biggest yet, taking place at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Ningbo, Zejian province, China. 

The packed programme of plenary and parallel sessions will showcase opportunities in the UK and Chinese space markets. With dedicated networking opportunities, there will be time to discuss future partnerships.

The 13th meeting will focus on:

  • Earth observation application
  • Space science and astronomy
  • Technology development
  • Skills, education and training
  • Commercial space
  • Policy and trade

The conference is being supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, National Space Academy, UK Research and Innovation and the UK Space Agency.
