He leads a small team of Business Development Managers with over 40 years of combined industrial and business development experience in the space sector.
Robert contributes widely to the growth and ambitions of the UK space sector, including representing STFC in the Space Growth Partnership, Position Navigation and Timing Strategy Group, Satellite Applications Catapult on-Orbit Demonstration Programme, and European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre UK.
Previous to this role Robert was Head of the Joint Research Centre between National Physical Laboratory and the University of Surrey Space Centre, focussing on data quality and calibration of commercial Earth Observation applications and services. He holds a degree in Chemistry from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.
